The roots of NC State’s rich athletics tradition trace back to 1892. Since then, our teams have won four national championships and countless conference titles, and we’ve won 31 individual national championships. Today, our student-athletes compete at the highest levels, while also excelling academically and as leaders in our community.
More than 550 student-athletes on 23 varsity teams represent the Wolfpack in competition. Endowed scholarships are essential to our ability to compete for championships and attract gifted student-athletes to NC State. Increasing the availability of scholarships will allow even more of our athletics programs to stand among the nation’s best.
Recruiting and retaining top coaching talent is critical to the success of our athletics programs. Coaching endowments would give the university the flexibility it needs to support the coaches who lead the Wolfpack to compete at the highest level.
Whether in Reynolds Coliseum, Carter-Finley Stadium, PNC Arena, Doak Field or anywhere else, NC State Athletics brings our entire community of students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends together. Our student-athletes and coaching staff are fixtures in our community, and their success helps bring NC State national acclaim and prominence.
