The College of Sciences makes NC State the university of choice for diverse, high-performing science students and faculty in the biological, mathematical and physical sciences. These creative minds do the extraordinary to solve society’s biggest problems.
Building a world-class college means enrolling the brightest students and hiring the most talented faculty. But we face fierce competition for these top people, and resources from the state are limited. To attract the very best people to our college, we need undergraduate scholarships, distinguished professorships and resources for cutting-edge research.
No priority is more important than safeguarding our ability to extend educational opportunities to bright, deserving science students. At a time when costs are rising, undergraduate scholarships and graduate fellowships represent a lifeline for students and their families.
Outstanding faculty are like magnets; they attract other top faculty who, in turn, attract great students. Professorships and other endowed faculty positions help these researchers expand the scope of their world-changing activities, which often means offering exciting opportunities to students who will become the leading scientists of tomorrow.
Our scientists work with leading partners and use cutting-edge techniques and technologies to solve the most difficult problems and answer the deepest intellectual questions. Your support helps connect our bright scientific minds with the resources they need to find solutions to challenges that affect us all.
