Wellness and Recreation Center Focuses on Mind and Body
A key feature of NC State's 82,000-square-foot Wellness and Recreation Center, scheduled to open next fall, will be the Mind Body Studio. The dedicated space will allow Wellness and Recreation to offer additional classes and programming to help students manage stress, explore the mind-body connection and lead healthier lives. Donor naming opportunities are available for the studio and other spaces throughout the new center.
Exploring New Routes
NC State's new Wellness and Recreation Center is expected to open in fall of 2020. With outdoor training areas, a teaching kitchen, a sprint ramp and a signature, 48-foot-tall climbing center, the facility will play a critical role in providing new ways for students to enjoy a well-rounded campus experience. Naming opportunities are available now and provide a unique opportunity to further invest in student success.
Beam Me Up
Construction workers hit a big milestone earlier this month in their work on NC State's new Wellness and Recreation Center, securing the final steel beam high atop the structure. Scheduled to open in 2020, the facility - paired with Talley Student Union - will anchor student life on Main Campus.
More Than a Gym: Renovation Marks New Chapter for Wellness and Recreation
For nearly 60 years, Carmichael Gymnasium has served as the home for recreation and fitness at NC State. Construction on a new wellness facility is underway, and soon, it will match other extraordinary places on campus. The transformed headquarters of all aspects of wellness for the Wolfpack - along with Talley Student Union - will co-anchor a centralized hub for student life.
