The scholarship’s first awardee, Chantal Warfield, fulfilled her study abroad goals by traveling to the United Kingdom for a five-week STEM and liberal studies program.

Statistics Alumna Makes Pledge to Create Professorships, Scholarships

Statistics alumna Nancy Ridenhour is an expert in assessing risk. When it came time to decide how to direct her estate, she knew NC State was a sure bet. She recently made a substantial planned gift to the College of Sciences and the Park Scholarships and Caldwell Fellows programs that includes funding for professorships, scholarships and experiential learning opportunities.

Goodnight Scholar and environmental advocate Meredith Bain parlayed her love for math, Germany and the environment into a summer internship in Ingolstadt, Germany, where she developed a computer-based greenhouse gas emissions monitoring system to track progress on the city government’s carbon neutrality plan.
