Pullen Society Welcomes 112 New Members in 2023 Induction Ceremony

NC State’s R. Stanhope Pullen Society celebrates Pack members who have made a planned gift supporting the university through their wills, trusts, IRA rollovers and more. This year’s induction event was held in historic Reynolds Coliseum and included a special tie-in with the men’s basketball team’s 1983 NCAA Championship win.

Prashant Prabhu ’77, ’79 Wins Distinguished Global Alumni Award

Dr. Prashant Prabhu was recently named the recipient of the 2022 Distinguished Global Alumni Award by NC State’s Office of Global Engagement. The award recognizes Prabhu’s esteemed contributions to his alma mater, success within the sustainable-mobility industry and impact on the world.

Trustees Elect New Officers, Welcome New Member

Perry Safran of Raleigh, a former president of the Alumni Association, has joined NC State's Board of Trustees. Safran is a founding partner of the Safran Law Offices and a former Raleigh City Council member. He is a longtime supporter of the university, and is a member of the Peele Lifetime Giving Society and the Pullen Giving Society. He is a 2019 recipient of the Alumni Association’s Meritorious Service Award. The board recently elected Thomas E. Cabaniss as chair, Stanhope A. Kelly as first vice chair, Edward I. Weisiger Jr. as second vice chair and Ann B. Goodnight as secretary.

Creating a Lasting Legacy to the College of Design

Bill Dove, a 1956 graduate of NC State's College of Design, has contributed expansively to the profession of architecture and to his alma mater. A member of the W. C. Riddick and R. S. Pullen giving societies, he has given generously to programs including Caldwell Fellows. In 1999, Dove received an award for service from the Alumni Association for his legacy of voluntarism.

Jane Rogers: Supporting Students’ Leadership Potential

Jane Rogers has been named the College of Humanities and Social Sciences 2019 Distinguished Alumna and was recognized at the annual NC State Alumni Association Evening of Stars Gala. She has more than 40 years of experience developing and leading nonprofit, educational, governmental and for-profit organizations. Rogers, a member of the Chancellor’s Circle and the R. Stanhope Pullen Society, also has established a planned gift to support students’ access to international study abroad opportunities and to provide leadership opportunities to students engaged with our state’s social innovation nonprofit sector.
