Campaign Leadership

Our Campaign goals are bold. Meet the extraordinary people leading the effort to achieve them.

Campaign Co-Chairs

NC State is embarking on the largest fundraising effort in its history: Think and Do the Extraordinary, a $1.6 billion Campaign to support students, faculty, facilities and research for decades to come.

At the head of that effort is our Campaign Cabinet — leaders who have strong connections to NC State.

Campaign Executive Committee

Within NC State, our Campaign fundraising effort is being helmed by some of our brightest leaders, who have worked hard to help this university reach its fullest potential.

Randy Woodson

Randy Woodson, the 14th chancellor of NC State, is a nationally recognized scholar and academic leader who oversees the largest university in North Carolina, with more than 35,000 students and an annual budget of $1.48 billion.

Under his leadership, NC State has built upon its reputation as a pre-eminent research institution and has witnessed many transformative changes — the opening of the James B. Hunt Jr. Library on Centennial Campus, the launch of the College of Sciences, the completion of the Lonnie Poole Golf Course and the creation of several NC State-led research hubs that are taking on global challenges.

Warwick Arden

Warwick Arden is NC State’s provost and executive vice chancellor. As the university’s chief academic officer, he collaborates with vice provosts, executive officers, college deans and others in the administration of all academic and student affairs.

Arden has led numerous key campus initiatives, including the development and implementation of “The Pathway to the Future: NC State’s 2011-2020 Strategic Plan,” along with the university’s recent reaffirmation of accreditation by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.

Brian Sischo

Brian Sischo is the Vice Chancellor for University Advancement and President of the NC State University Foundation. Under Sischo’s leadership, NC State launched the most ambitious fundraising campaign in university history, a $1.6 billion effort to increase scholarship support, fund research and faculty positions, revitalize campus and increase the university’s endowment. To date, nearly 80,000 alumni and friends from all 100 counties in North Carolina, all 50 states and 63 countries have supported the Campaign, resulting in record giving in the past two fiscal years. Sischo has implemented university-wide engagement initiatives such as Red and White Week and the Campaign Cabinet to connect alumni and friends with NC State.

Campaign Cabinet Volunteers

The Think and Do the Extraordinary Campaign is helping transform NC State. Meeting the goal of $1.6 billion in private support will allow NC State to achieve its full potential as one of the most vital and recognized research universities on the planet. Each day, our Campaign Cabinet volunteers are helping NC State move toward its big, bold future. We’re sharing stories from our volunteers about why they give back to the university and the inspiration behind their Think and Do approach.
