As the third largest producer of engineering degrees in the United States, we educate engineers who have a major impact in business, education and their communities. Not only do students receive a sound engineering education, an advanced understanding and application of scientific principles and hands-on experiences through cooperative programs with industry partners, they also graduate as well-rounded individuals with a sense of global responsibility.
The College of Engineering is playing a leadership role in Achieve! The Campaign for NC State. With a total goal of $225 million, the campaign will help to transform the College of Engineering by doubling the endowment and supporting the following critical areas:
$25 million for student support to endow scholarships and fellowships for outstanding students
$20 million for faculty support to bolster our superb faculty by creating new endowed professorships, assisting promising junior faculty in career development, and rewarding entrepreneurial professors with endowed faculty startup funds
$20 million for evolving program development to build programs for students and faculty to find solutions to problems facing North Carolina and the world
$75 million for innovative research in a range of strategic areas to maintain the college’s leadership position
$10 million for unrestricted support to meet new needs and stay on the leading edge of engineering education
$75 million for state-of-the-art facilities and equipment
