$192 million will go toward providing scholarships and
NC State students enrich the campus in so many ways. They come from every county in the state, every state in the nation and more than 100 countries. Students at NC State are expected to become engaged citizens who give back to the community, inspire others and become leaders in their chosen fields.

The university prepares its students for jobs and lives not yet imagined by keeping them intellectually and personally challenged. When they enter NC State, they encounter inquiry-driven academic programs within a diverse learning environment and are encouraged to pursue opportunities for learning beyond the classroom. Financial aid and other programs support a balanced life enriched by the arts and athletics for all students, while strong mentoring and advising programs facilitate their transition into dynamic careers.

NC State is committed to continuing this innovative approach to education, but our commitment will require a significantly greater investment in the future. Our goal is to ensure that students from all disciplines and backgrounds are able to achieve in work environments that are increasingly cross-cultural. By providing a diversified, technology-enhanced education, we can create leaders for the future who are globally-equipped to succeed, thanks to their curiosity, perseverance, self-confidence and compassion.
